Welcome back to the noise in your head. That's why we've got that behind us to represent the noise that's going on in our head. So how do we get it out? Well, the first thing that we can do, because now we're observing it, now we understand that there is a lot going on and there's a lot of energy feeding that noise because we're trying to decipher what's actually in there. So...
How do we get it out? How can we decipher what's in there? Just get a pen and paper.
and write down anything that comes to your mind or whatever comes to you. Just write it down on a piece of paper. Then you can analyze it, then you can see it. And once you put it down on a piece of paper, you realize that actually it's freeing up space. I call it the mind dump. Your mind dumping everything that's in your head. And when you see it on a piece of paper, you can decipher what is important to retain and what isn't.
You can literally decide, okay, why have I got that in my head? Why? That was a memory. That's something that I can't change. And if you think about it, a lot that's going on in our heads is worrying about what might happen in the future and thinking about what's happened in the past. Well, we don't have any time machine to go back in time to relive that past, do we? So let's cross it off. That's not something that we need to worry about. Or...
if it's always popping up, what can we learn from that experience from what had happened in the past? That's all we can do is learn the lessons from what we experienced in the past. And then in the future, well, we can't change anything in the future, can we? All we can do is be in control of the here and the now and look after ourselves and prepare ourselves for tomorrow. So we can't...
go into the future. We have no time machine to go into the future. We can't predict the future. We can't see into the future. So let's cross anything that's popping up in our heads about worrying about what might be or what might not be in the future. Then we can have a look at that list, which will be a lot less than what we started when we first mind dumped. And then we can put things in priority. Okay, what is the most important thing that I need to focus on?
and then we put that at the top of the list and then we go through the list in order of what is relevant to dealing with now or can we leave it for the next day or the next day but it's there now it's there in front of us that's how we clear our minds that's the most easiest way to mind dump is literally get it out there and if you're not into writing then just pick up your phone and
Go on voice memo and start saying what's on your mind. So you're hearing yourself now. Say the words, say what's playing up in your mind and then play it back. What's relevant, what isn't, why am I worried about that?
So I hope that's been a tool for you and keep working on it. Yes, it is difficult sometimes to put it down on paper to find that time, but you can do it. All the best. Bye bye.
